Enrofloxacin injection in veterinary medicine is used to treat bacterial infections in multiple animal species, including respiratory infections in cattle, sheep, and goats caused by Pasteurella multocida and Mannheimia haemolytica, gastrointestinal infections in cattle, sheep, goats, and pigs caused by Escherichia coli and Salmonella, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections in dogs and cats, and systemic infections like septicemia across various animals, with dosages tailored by veterinarians to ensure effective treatment while minimizing resistance risks.
Usage and Dosage: Intramuscular injection: one dose, per 1kg body weight, 0.025ml for cattle, sheep, and pigs; 0.025~0.05ml for dogs, cats, and rabbits. Use 1 to 2 times a day for 2 to 3 days.
Adverse reactions
(1) Degeneration of cartilage in young animals, affecting bone development and causing claudication and pain.
(2) Reactions of the digestive system include vomiting, loss of appetite, and diarrhea.
(3) Skin reactions include erythema, itching, urticaria and photosensitivity.
(4) Allergic reactions, ataxia, and seizures are occasionally seen in dogs and cats.
