What is Styrenated phenol (SP) ?
Styrenated phenol is a colourless to yellow liquid with a special aromatic odour. It is insoluble in water but soluble in many organic solvents. An important organic synthesis intermediate with a wide range of applications in the chemical industry. Styrenated phenol can also be used as a flavouring agent and antioxidant, etc.
Applications：
1.Rubber Additive: Styrenated phenol is a antioxidant for natural rubber, synthetic rubber, and latex. It is widely used in shoes, rubber products. It can also be used as a non contaminative stabilizer for SBR and NBR, preventing the formation of gelatin in SBR.
2.Plastic Industry: SP is used as an antioxidant for polyalkanes and polyformaldehyde, which can improve the heat and oxygen aging resistance of plastic products.
3.Coating Industry: It can be used in solvent - free and high - solids coatings.
4.Other Fields: The ethoxylated product of styrenated phenol can be used as an emulsifier in the pesticide industry.
