Didodecyldimethylammonium bromide, CAS No. 3282-73-3, also known as DDAB, usually appears as a white to off-white powder or flakes. It is soluble in polar organic solvents such as chloroform and methanol, and slightly soluble in water. Didodecyl dimethyl ammonium bromide can be used as emulsifier, dispersant, color enhancer and anti-sinking agent.
Applications of DDAB:
1.Didodecyldimethylammonium bromide is a kind of cationic surfactant with good surface activity. It is widely used in the formulation of detergents, emulsifiers, and foaming agents.
2.DDAB has certain antimicrobial properties and can be used in some antibacterial products. It is often used in the production of disinfectants, antibacterial coatings, and some personal care products to inhibit the growth of bacteria and fungi.
