3-Mercaptopropionic Acid (3-MPA) is a direct raw material for organic chemical industry. It is a colorless or light yellow transparent liquid. Its relative density is 1.2199 (20/4ºC), its refractive index is 1.4921, and its flash point is 93ºC. It is miscible with water, alcohol and ether.
Application of 3-Mercaptopropionic Acid
1. 3-Mercaptopropionic Acid can be used as slow coagulation polyester water reducing agent PCA and polyether water reducing agent PCE.
2. 3MAP is the intermediate of pharmaceutical chlormezanone and can also be used as stabilizer of PVC.
3. It can be used in transparent products with excellent thermal stability, superior to other stabilizers.
4. It can also be used as antioxidant, catalyst and biochemical reagent.
