What is Diacetone Acrylamide (DAAM) CAS 2873-97-4?
Diacetone acrylamide is soluble in organic solvents such as water, methanol, chloromethane, benzene, acetonitrile, ethanol, acetone, tetrahydrofuran, ethyl acetate, styrene, and n-hexanol, but insoluble in petroleum ether (30-60 °C).Diacetoneacrylamide is widely used in adhesives, coatings and water treatment.
Uses of DAAM:
1. Used in the preparation of pressure-sensitive adhesives, adhesive modifiers, etc., can improve the adhesive bonding strength and water resistance and other properties.
2. Diacetone Acrylamide can be used as cross-linking agent for the cross-linking of unsaturated polyester resin, diallyl phthalate, etc., which can improve the performance of coatings, such as hardness, water resistance and solvent resistance.
3. Used in the production of water treatment agents, such as scale inhibitors, flocculants.
4. Used in the modification of fiber materials to improve the performance of fibers, such as improving the wrinkle resistance of fibers, water resistance and so on.
