Uses
- Resin field: Maleic anhydride is an important raw material for the production of unsaturated polyester resin and alkyd resin, and is used in the manufacture of automobile parts, ships, and corrosion-resistant chemical equipment.
- Pharmaceuticals: MA is used in the synthesis of antibiotics, hypolipidemic, analgesic, antipyretic, anticancer and many other drugs.
- Pesticide field: Maleic anhydride is used to synthesise organophosphorus insecticides such as malathion and pyridazinphos, as well as pyrethroid insecticides such as amethrin.
