Vinyl Ethylene Carbonate is an important lithium battery electrolyte additive, which can form a stable solid electrolyte interface (SEI) film on the electrode surface during the battery charging and discharging process, which can effectively inhibit the solvated lithium ions from co-embedding in the graphite layer, prevent the decomposition of the electrolyte, and improve the battery's charging and discharging efficiency, cycling performance and safety.
2. 4-Vinyl-1,3-dioxolan-2-one can be used as synthesis intermediates for synthesizing some organic compounds or functional polymers with special functions.
