What is Polypropylene Glycol PPG?
Polypropylene glycol also known as poly(propylene glycol), is a polymer with the formula H(C3H6O)nOH, a colorless to yellowish viscous liquid. Non-volatile. Non-corrosive. General product molecular weight Chemicalbook400~2050. Lower molecular weight polymers are soluble in water. Higher molecular weight polymers are only slightly soluble in water, soluble in oils, many hydrocarbons and aliphatic alcohols, ketones, esters, etc.
Applications：
For Surfactant
As a Surfactant,polypropylene glycol and its derivatives have surfactant properties and can be used in the production of detergents, emulsifiers, and dispersants. They can reduce the surface tension of liquids and improve the dispersion and emulsification of substances.
Other Applications:
1. PPG is one of the main raw materials for the production of polyurethane foams, elastomers, and coatings.
2.In the cosmetics industry,polypropylene glycol is used in the formulation of various cosmetics such as creams, lotions, and shampoos.
