Chemical reagent Acetonitrile is an organic compound with the molecular formula CH3CN or c2h3n. It is a colorless liquid, extremely volatile, with a special odor similar to that of ether, and has excellent solvent properties, capable of dissolving a wide range of organic, inorganic and gaseous substances. It has a certain degree of toxicity, and can miscible with water and alcohol infinitely. Acetonitrile is an important organic intermediate, which can be used to prepare many typical nitrogen-containing compounds by typical nitrile reaction.
Application of Acetonitrile Chemical reagent:
Liquid Acetonitrile is used as a solvent for the synthesis of vitamin A, cortisone, carboxyamine drugs and their intermediates, and as a solvent for the active medium in the production of vitamin B1 and amino acids. It can replace chlorinated solvents. It is used in vinyl coatings, fatty acid extractants, alcohol denaturants, butadiene extractants and acrylonitrile synthetic fiber solvents. It is also used in fabric dyeing, lighting, perfume manufacturing and photographic material manufacturing.
