What is Ethylene tar?
Ethylene tar is a by-product of the ethylene manufacturing process. It is mainly composed of unstable compounds resulting from the polymerisation or pyrolysis of ethylene. Vinyl tar is a black viscous liquid with a peculiar odour.
Applications：
- Production of carbon black: As a high-quality raw material for the production of carbon black, ethylene tar is used in rubber, plastic, ink and other industries.
- Extraction of chemical raw materials: Extract naphthalene, anthracene, phenanthrene and other chemical raw materials, used in the production of dyestuffs, pharmaceuticals, spices and so on.
- Preparation of carbon fibre related products: Ethylene tar is uede to produce intermediate phase pitch, which is used in the production of high-performance carbon fibre, used in aerospace, automotive and other fields.
