What is Trioctanoin (Tricaprylin)?
Trioctanoin is also known as 1,2,3-trioctanoylglycerol, glyceryl trioctanoate, tricaprylin, and trioctanoyl glycerol. It is a triglyceride of octanoic acid esters and a non-ionic surfactant. It's a clear, colorless to pale-yellow viscous liquid that's insoluble in water. Trioctanoin is a plant metabolite with various applications, including research into Alzheimer's disease, epilepsy, and burn wound healing, as well as use in pharmaceutical preparations and as a lubricant.
Applications：
