Tert butanol (TBA) is a colourless liquid with camphoraceous odour, miscible with water, ethanol and ether. Its chemical nature is more active, although relative to alcohol reactivity is slightly lower, but under specific conditions, can occur esterification, dehydration and other reactions; and flammable, vapour and air can form explosive mixtures.
