2-Butoxyethanol is an organic compound with the chemical formula C6H14O2. It is mainly used as a high boiling point solvent for paint, especially spray paint, quick-drying paint, varnish, enamel and paint stripper.
Applications：
1.Solvent: 2-Butoxyethanol is widely used in coatings, inks, and adhesives as a solvent. It helps to dissolve resins and improve the flow and leveling properties of coatings, resulting in a smooth and uniform film. In inks, it enhances the solubility of pigments and the drying rate.
2.Cleaning Agent: Due to its good solubility for oils and greases, it is used in household and industrial cleaning products.
3.Textile Industry: In the textile industry, butylglycol is used as a dyeing assistant and solvent for textile finishing agents.
4. 2-Butoxyethanol is also used in the production of brake fluids, hydraulic fluids, and some pharmaceuticals.
