Cymoxanil is a fungicide approved for use in the EU and many other countries. It is highly soluble in water and considered quite volatile. It has a low potential for leaching into groundwater and is nonpersistent in soil and water systems.

Cymoxanil is moderately toxic to mammals, may cause adverse effects on reproduction/development, and has a high potential to bio-concentrate. It is moderately toxic to most aquatic organisms, earthworms, and honeybees but less so to birds.

Cymoxanil Foliar fungicide with protective and curative action. Has contact and local systemic activity, and also inhibits sporulation. Uses Control of Peronosporales, especially Peronospora, Phytophthora, and Plasmopara spp. It is normally used in combination with protectant fungicides (to improve residual activity) on a range of crops, including vines, hops, potatoes, and tomatoes.
