What is Nisin CAS 1414-45-5?

Nisin (Streptococcus lactis) is a peptide antimicrobial substance produced by Streptococcus lactis. Streptococcus lactis is recognised worldwide as a safe natural biological food preservative and bacteriostat. It can be degraded into amino acids by proteases in the body and absorbed after consumption, without affecting the intestinal flora.
