Products Description
Bisphenol S (BPS) is a chemical compound that belongs to the group of bisphenols, which are used in the production of certain types of plastics and resins. Easily soluble in fatty hydrocarbons, soluble in alcohols and ethers, slightly soluble in aromatic hydrocarbons, and insoluble in water. Bisphenol S molecules contains two hydroxyl groups and a strong electron withdrawing sulfone group make it more acidic than other phenols.
Applications of Bisphenol S / Bis(4-hydroxyphenyl) sulfone：
1.Polymer Industry: Bisphenol S is used as a substitute for bisphenol A in the production of some polymers, such as polycarbonates and epoxy resins.
2.Coatings and Adhesives: BPS is used in the coatings and adhesives to improve their performance, such as enhancing hardness, adhesion, and chemical resistance.
