Properties
Pentaerythritol Tetrastearate PETS is an ester compound, a colorless to light yellow solid, soluble in organic solvents such as alcohols and ethers, but almost insoluble in water. It has good stability and high permanence and can withstand high temperatures and oxidation. PETS has good lubricating properties and is widely used in industrial manufacturing as a lubricant and plasticizer. Its excellent emulsifying properties are commonly used as emulsifier and surfactant.
Application of Pentaerythritol Tetrastearate PETS :
1. Used as lubricant in thermoplastic polyester (PET/PBT), such as transparent engineering plastics and dispersant;
2. Used as lubricants, mold release agents and dispersants for polystyrene (PS);
3. Used as internal and external mold release agent, dispersant and lubricant for polycarbonate (PC) and its alloys;
4. Used as lubricant, mold releasing agent and dispersant for polyoxymethylene (POM) and nylon (PA, PA6, PA66).
5. Used as lubricant, mold release agent, smoothing agent and anti-fogging agent for thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU);
6. Used as lubricant and dispersant of reinforced polypropylene (PP) plastics, it can promote the glass fiber reinforced engineering plastics in glass fiber dispersion in the resin and combine with it to reduce leakage and increase the luster of the products;
7. Lubricant and anti-sticky agent for polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA);
8. High-grade lubricant additives, lubricants for metal cutting and rolling steel plates.
