Products Description
Polyisobutene, also known as "PIB" or polyisobutylene, (C4H8)n, is the homopolymer of isobutylene, or 2-methyl-1-propene, on which butyl rubber is based. Butyl rubber is produced by polymerization of about 98% of isobutylene with about 2% of isoprene.
Applications of Polyisobutene PIB 2400 for Tackifiers
1. Polyisobutylene pib is used in adhesives, polyisobutylene is an important component of many solvent release pressure sensitive adhesives and hot melt adhesives, with adhesion, compatibility, aging resistance.
2. Apply to adhesives and sealants caulking, can extend the storage period, increase the stability of polyisobutylene viscosity in a variety of temperatures, to provide permanent resistance to kneading, crack resistance, especially for butyl rubber, sealants, sealing damping putty, and can be applied to silicone, polysulfide sealants.
3. Apply to industrial agricultural forage and winding film: it can increase viscosity, flexibility and reduce cost.
