What is Tetrabromobisphenol A CAS 79-94-7?
Tetrabromobisphenol A is a white to light yellow crystalline solid; slightly soluble in water, easily soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol, chloroform and dimethylformamide; Tetrabromobisphenol A has a certain degree of toxicity but is safe under general conditions of use. Tetrabromo Bisphenol A can be added as a brominated flame retardant to plastics, electronic products, circuit boards and construction materials to improve their flame retardancy; TBBPA is also used in the synthesis of thermosetting resins, such as epoxy resins and unsaturated polyester resins.
Applications of TBBPA Powder:
1.Flame Retardant in Plastics: As a reactive flame retardant, tetrabromobisphenol a is used in the production of epoxy resins, polyurethane resins, etc. As an additive flame retardant, it is used in polystyrene, SAN resin, ABS resin and other plastics to improve their flame resistance.
