2. It can be used as copper and sulfur inhibitor in the selection process of molybdenum ore and other non-ferrous metal ores, used to realize the separation of copper, sulfur and other minerals.
3. Potassium thioglycolate is the intermediate of some drug synthesis, and can be used to prepare compounds with specific biological activity.
4. As an efficient reducing agent, it can be used in organic synthesis reaction to reduce some functional groups with oxidizing property; it can also be used in metal surface treatment to remove the oxidized layer on the metal surface.
