What is Isobutanol chemicals?
Isobutanol,also known as 2-Methyl-1-propanol,Isobutyl Alcohol, IBA (CAS 78-83-1) is a branched-chain primary alcohol with the molecular formula C₄H₁₀O. It is a colorless, flammable liquid with a characteristic odor and moderate water solubility.It is an important solvent for organic synthesis and can be used in organic synthesis reactions and the preparation of a variety of chemical reagents.
2-Methyl-1-propanol is used in the manufacture of petroleum additives, antioxidants 2,6-di-tert-butyl-p-cresol, isobutyl acetate (paint solvents), plasticizers, synthetic rubbers, artificial musk, essential oils of fruits and synthetic drugs, etc., but also can be used for the purification of strontium, barium, lithium and other salts chemical reagents and used as a high-level solvent.
