What is Sodium saccharin?
Sodium Saccharin CAS 128-44-9 also known as Saccharin Sodium Salt. It is an organic chemical synthesis product with the chemical formula C7H4NNaO3S, which is a food additive. It usually appears in the form of white crystalline powder, which is easily soluble in water and ethanol. Saccharin sodium is mainly used in the food industry as a synthetic sweetener, which is about 200 to 500 times sweeter than sucrose.
What is sodium saccharin used for?
Sodium saccharin has been used to reduce calorie and replace sugar in our food and drink for more than 100 years due to the advantages of low cost, synergy with other sweeteners, and stable property. It is also used in toothpaste but not allowed in baby food.
