2. Boiling Point and Viscosity Differences
There is a clear difference in boiling point and viscosity between MEG and DEG. DEG has a higher boiling point (245°C) and is more viscous than MEG.

MEG prices are mainly affected by the demand for polyester. DEG, as a derivative with specific market uses, has a different pricing mechanism and is sometimes more expensive than MEG.
