Vinyl acetate monomer (VAM) is primarily used as a feedstock in the manufacture of two key high-value derivatives:
Polyvinyl acetate (PVA). This versatile polymer is integral to the production of a wide range of products, including paints and coatings, adhesives, coatings for flexible substrates and textile processing applications.
Polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH): Renowned for its superior film-forming properties and high resistance to oils, greases and solvents, PVOH is widely used in adhesives, coatings and water-soluble packaging films.
