N,N-Dimethylacetamide (DMAC) is a solvent mainly used in the synthesis of fibres and in extractive distillation to separate styrene from C8. DMAC is used in polymer films, coatings and medicine, as well as in the synthesis of pharmaceutical and pesticide products. DMAC can also be used as a catalyst, electrolytic solvent and in paints and dimethylacetamide is used as a solvent for various adducts and complexes.
