1. Methyl methacrylate is primarily used in polymerisation and copolymerisation processes. A special polymerisation process is required for each application, and the initiator used is either free-type (organic peroxide or azo compound) or ionic-type.
2. Organic glass can be produced by bulk polymerisation and is used for artificial decorative materials, industrial parts for buildings, optical information materials, and packaging for electrical components, among other things.
3. Coatings, paints, adhesives, waterproofing agents and lubricant viscosity adjustment additives can be produced by emulsion polymerisation.
