2,2-Dimethyl-1,3-dioxolane-4-methanol, also known as Solketal, is a colorless, transparent liquid. Its molecular formula is C₆H₁₂O₃ and molecular weight is 132.16 g/mol.Solketal is soluble in a variety of organic solvents and has a boiling point of about 190 - 191°C. It is widely used as an auxiliary in synthetic resins, polyols and coatings, and it is resistant to moisture and weathering. It is commonly used in the manufacture of polyester resins, polymers and polyurethanes.

1.Chemical intermediates: Widely used as additives in synthetic resins, polyols and paints with moisture resistance and weather resistance.
