- Diethylene glycol is a good solvent which can be used to dissolve resins, paints, dyes and other substances.
- In plastics processing, DEG can be used as a plasticiser, which can increase the flexibility and plasticity of plastics, and improve the processing performance and usability of plastic products.
- Due to its hygroscopicity, it can be used as hygroscopic agent and softener in textile and leather industries, so that fibre and leather maintain a certain degree of moisture to prevent drying and hardening, and to improve the handfeel of the products and comfort.
