N-(2-Hydroxyethyl)aniline is an organic compound, also known as 2-Anilinoethanol or 2-Anilino ethanol. it is a colorless to light yellow liquid with two functional groups of phenol and amine; it is soluble in water, alcohols and ester solvents. It has some oxidizing properties, it can be oxidized to the corresponding ketone or aldehyde by some strong oxidizing agents.
Applications:
1.In Pharmaceutical Industry: 2-Anilinoethanol is used as an intermediate in the synthesis of some pharmaceuticals. It can be used to synthesize certain antihistamine drugs and local anesthetics.
2.In Polymer Industry: It can be used as a chain extender or crosslinking agent in the production of polyurethanes and polyamides.
3.In Dye Industry: N-(2-Hydroxyethyl)aniline is used to synthesize some dyes, especially those with special structures and properties, which can improve the color fastness and solubility of dyes.
