Erucamide as known as Cis-13-Docosenoamide, which contains long carbon chains and polar amide groups in its molecular structure, gives it particularly excellent surface activity and good thermal stability for higher processing temperatures, as well as longer-lasting smoothness and better anti-sticking effects. The product is insoluble in water and soluble in solvents such as ethanol, ether, acetone and xylene. The flash point is about 230ºC.
Application of CAS 112-84-5 Erucamide:
Erucamide is mainly used as polymer additives, as plasticizers together with plastic additive 21; they are used in the preparation of natural mineral-modified degradable polymer flame-retardant composites.
