CAS 111-87-5 1-Octanol or N-Octanol 99.9% liquid is an organic substance with chemical formula C8H180, slightly soluble in water, soluble in ethanol, ethyl ether, chloroform, etc. It is a straight-chain saturated fatty alcohol containing 8 carbon atoms, and it is a colorless and transparent liquid at room temperature and pressure.
Application of Industrial Grade 1-0ctanol:
1). Used in the preparation of spices, also can be used as a solvent and defoamer.
2). It can be used as raw material of spices, octanal, octanoic acid and its esters, also can be used as solvent, defoamer and lubricant additive.
3). It can be used in appropriate amount for rose, jasmine, pine needle and other fragrances. It can be blended with rose, ylang ylang, antifungal root, orange oil, linalool and so on.
4). May be used in trace amounts in edible peach, pineapple, coconut, chocolate, various citrus and fruit flavors.
5). Primarily used in the formulation of coconut, pineapple, peach, chocolate and citrus flavors.
