Isobutyl alcohol also known as Isobutanol,iso butanol,IBA,2-Methyl-1-propanol. It is an organic compound with the chemical formula c4h10o, it is a flammable, irritating, colorless and transparent liquid with a special smell, easily soluble in ethanol and ether, its vapor and air can form explosive mixtures, which will cause combustion and explosion when exposed to open flame and high heat. When heated, it will decompose and release toxic gases. It can react strongly with acidic substances.

Isobutyl alcohol is an organic synthetic raw material, used in the manufacture of petroleum additives, isobutyl acetate (paint solvents), plasticizers, synthetic rubbers, artificial musk, essential oils of fruits and synthetic drugs, etc., but also can be used for the purification of strontium, barium, lithium and other salts chemical reagents and used as a high-level solvent.

Application of Isobutyl Alcohol 99% Solvent:

1. Isobutyl Alcohol is mainly used in pharmaceuticals, also used as solvents, extractants, antifreeze, etc.
2. IBA solvent is used as experimental chemical reagent and chromatographic analysis reagent.
3. Isopropanol is an important intermediate in the production of pesticides, can produce fungicides such as oryzoline and isoalizoline, insecticides and acaricides such as aminopropionic acid, phosphorothioate, methamidophos, propyl bromide phosphorus, cypermethrin and so on, as well as herbicides such as isopropylmethomyl, and can be prepared isopropyl bromine and isopropyl chlorine, but also an important intermediate in pesticides, and also the preparation of isopropyl bromide and chlorinated isopropanes.
