Products Description
Pure Glycolic acid is colorless and easily deliquescent crystals. The industrial product is a 70% aqueous solution, a pale yellow liquid with an odor similar to burnt caramel. Soluble in water, ethanol and ether.
Industrial Grade Glycolic acid uses
1. Glycolic acid 99% Powder is the smallest alpha hydroxy acid (AHA). It is primarily added to various skin care products to improve the appearance and texture of the skin. It also reduces wrinkles, acne scars and hyperpigmentation.
2. In the textile industry, it is used as a dyeing and tanning agent.
3. It is used as a flavoring agent in food processing and as a skin care agent in the pharmaceutical industry.
4. It can be added to emulsion polymers, solvents and ink additives to improve flow and gloss.
