What is Azelaic Acid CAS 123-99-9?
Azelaic Acid is a white crystalline or solid powdery substance. It has low solubility in water but good solubility in organic solvents; it is acidic and can react with bases to form the corresponding nonanedioate. It is widely used in the manufacture of coatings and resins, and can also be used as an intermediate in the synthesis of other compounds.
Uses of Azelaic Acid powder：
For medical use
1. Azelaic Acid can be used for anti-acne treatment. It has antimicrobial properties that help treat acne by inhibiting the growth of Propionibacterium acnes on the skin. It also has anti-inflammatory properties that reduce the redness and swelling of acne.
2. It inhibits hyperpigmentation.
