What is Decyl glucoside or Akyl Polyglucoside?
Decyl glucoside/APG is known as a new generation of environmentally friendly green surfactants. D-Glucopyranose is a kind of nonionic surfactant, using raw materials from renewable natural resources of glucose and fatty alcohol derivatives, this kind of alkyl polyglucoside is completely biodegradable. These surfactants are used in a wide range of applications in detergents, cosmetics, food and pharmaceuticals due to their non-toxicity, non-irritation and excellent surface activity. Uses：
- Cosmetics and personal care products: Decyl glucoside can be used in cleansers, body washes, shampoos, conditioners, lotions and other products as an emulsifier, foaming agent and detergent. It gently cleanses skin and hair and has good foaming properties.
- For household cleaning products: It can be used in dishwashing detergents, laundry detergents, multi-purpose cleaners and other products.
- Industrial Applications: Akyl Polyglucoside can be used as emulsifier, dispersant and wetting agent in textile printing and dyeing, paper making and pesticide manufacturing industries. In the textile industry, APG can improve the dyeing effect and softness of fabrics; in the pesticide industry, it can be used as a pesticide adjuvant to improve the efficacy of pesticides.
- Food industry: APG can be used as food emulsifier, with the functions of foaming, preventing sugar and fatty acid polymerization.
