What is Chemical Material Fumaric Acid ?

Fumaric acid, a carboxylic acid derived from butene, is a colorless and flammable crystal.It is the simplest unsaturated dicarboxylic acid. It was first found in Corydalis yanhusuo. In addition, it also exists in a variety of mushrooms and fresh beef. Fumaric acid and maleic acid are geometric isomers of each other. It is transformed into maleic acid when heated to 250-300 ºC. It can also produce monobasic and binary esters or amides, but it can not produce monobasic acyl chloride. It reacts with phosphorus pentachloride or thionyl chloride to form binary acyl chloride.Trans maleic acid is oxidized by potassium permanganate to form racemic tartaric acid.
