Applications：
Diethylene Glycol DEG is a widely used solvent, polyurethane and plasticiser, and is used as a building block in organic synthesis (e.g. 1,4-dioxane). It is also used as a solvent for resins, dyes, oils and other organic compounds. It is also used as a humectant in tobacco, cork, printing ink and glue. It is also found in brake fluid, lubricants, wallpaper strippers, artificial fog and haze solutions, and heating and cooking fuel. In personal care products such as skin creams, lotions and deodorants, DEG Chemical is often replaced by selected diethylene glycol ethers. A dilute solution of diethylene glycol can also be used as a cryoprotectant.
