What is Tert-Butyl Methacrylate (TBMA)?
Tert-Butyl Methacrylate is a colorless liquid, soluble in organic solvents and slightly soluble in water; 8. It has a low flash point and vapor pressure. It is widely used in transparent plastics, optical fibers, automotive lampshades, eyeglass lenses, etc.; it can also be used in the preparation of water-based coatings and adhesives, including paper coatings and painted coatings.
Uses：
1. Tert-Butyl Methacrylate is used in the manufacture of acrylate coatings, which can improve the water resistance, weather resistance and hardness of the coatings, and is widely used in the coating of automobile, construction, furniture and other industries.
2. It is an important monomer for the preparation of pressure-sensitive adhesives, structural adhesives and other adhesives, and is used for bonding in packaging, electronics, automotive and other industries.
3. Methacrylic Acid Tert-Butyl Ester can be copolymerized with other monomers to prepare plastics with special properties, and is used in the manufacture of optical lenses, optical disks, plastic films and other products.
4. TBMA can be used for coating and finishing of fabrics, which can improve the waterproof, stain resistance and abrasion resistance of fabrics, and improve the feel and appearance of fabrics, which can be used in the fields of garments and home textiles.
