Applications of N,N-Dimethyl acetamide
1. N,N-dimethylacetamide is used as a raw material for synthetic fibres and as an excellent polar solvent for organic synthesis. For this process, it is also used as a solvent, catalyst and paint remover.
2. DMA/DMAC is mainly used as a solvent for synthetic fibres (acrylonitrile), polyurethane spinning, and synthetic polyamide resins. It is also used as a solvent for extractive distillation to separate styrene from C8 fractions.
