What is Itaconic Acid CAS 97-65-4?
Itaconic Acid is an unsaturated binary organic acid, white crystalline powder, easily soluble in water, ethanol and so on. It is an important monomer for polymer modification, which can enhance the water and weather resistance of materials; it can be used to synthesise biomedical degradable materials; it is also a raw material for special surfactants; and it is also applied in the fields of papermaking enhancement and water treatment.
Applications of Itaconic Acid：
- Polymer modification: It can improve the water resistance, weatherability and chemical resistance of polymers, and is widely used in coatings, adhesives, fibres and other fields.
