What is Sodium Acrylate CAS 7446-81-3?
Sodium acrylate is white powder, easily soluble in water, strong hygroscopicity. It is the key raw material for the preparation of highly absorbent resins; it is also used as a flocculating and scale inhibitor in water treatment, as well as in paints, textile printing and dyeing, and petroleum extraction.
Applications of Sodium Acrylate：
- Water treatment field: As a flocculant, it can effectively purify water quality; it can also be used as a scale inhibitor to prevent the formation of calcium, magnesium and other ions in the water.
- High-absorbent resin: It is the key raw material for the production of high-absorbent resin, which is widely used in sanitary products such as sanitary napkins and nappies.
- Coating industry: Added to coatings, it can improve the rheology, adhesion and water resistance of coatings, and enhance the comprehensive performance of coatings.
- Textile printing and dyeing: Used as sizing agent and finishing agent, it can improve the abrasion resistance and wrinkle resistance of fabrics.
