Butyl Cellosolve is used as a solvent for paints and inks, as a metal cleaning agent component and as a raw material for dye dispersants. It is mainly used as a solvent for nitrocellulose, spray paint, quick-drying paint, varnish, enamel and paint remover. It can also be used as fiber wetting agent, pesticide dispersant, resin plasticizer and organic synthesis intermediate. Auxiliary solvent for improving emulsifying properties and dissolving mineral oil in soaps. 2-Butoxyethanol is used as a solvent for coatings, printing inks, stamp pad inks for stamps, oils, resins, etc. It is used as a stabilizer for latex paint, an evaporation inhibitor for aircraft coatings, and for surface processing of high-temperature baking enamels.
