1. Coatings and paints: 2-Ethylhexanoic acid is used in the production of metal soap desiccant, such as cobalt, manganese, lead, zinc and other isooctanoates, which can accelerate the drying speed of paints and coatings, and improve the performance of paint film.
2. Plastics processing: as a heat stabilizer for polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and other plastics, it can improve the heat resistance and weather resistance of plastics.
