2-Ethylhexyl Salicylate is a colourless to light yellow transparent liquid with a slight aromatic odour, insoluble in water. It is a commonly used ultraviolet absorber, can protect UV-B, widely used in sunscreen cosmetics; it can also be used as a raw material for spices, and can also be used in the preparation of plasticiser intermediates.
Applications of 2-Ethylhexyl Salicylate：
- Sunscreen: As an ultraviolet absorber, it can effectively absorb ultraviolet B (UV-B) rays, and is widely used in sunscreen, barrier cream and other cosmetic products to provide protection for the skin.
