Products Description
P-Toluenesulfonyl Isocyanate PTSI is a colorless or light yellow liquid that is volatile at room temperature. It is soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol, dimethylformamide and ether. The solubility in water is relatively low. Toluenesulfonyl Isocyanate liquid is mainly used as a reagent in organic synthesis reactions, and can also be used as a catalyst.
Applications：
1. P-Toluenesulfonyl isocyanate (PTSI) can be used in the process of making paint as solvent, filler, pigment and asphalt tar dehydrating agent, such as the react with water to produce carbon dioxide and toluene sulfonamide. Through the use of PTSI liquid in producing polyurethane coating, system loss caused by wet surface light, yellowing and reaction phenomenon such as foam were reduced.
2. Organic Synthesis: Employed in a variety of organic reactions, including the preparation of sulfonamides, ureas, and carbamates.
3. Agrochemicals: PTSI p-toluenesulfonyl isocyanate is used as an intermediate in the production of pesticides and herbicide.
