3. In the field of coatings, PTBBA can be used as antirust agent in resin coatings, and it can be used as modifier of alkyd resin to improve the initial luster and the durability of color and luster.
4-Tert-Butylbenzoic Acid can be used as an antifreeze additive with the following primary functions:
1. Anti-corrosion: The carboxyl group in the molecule of 4-tert-butylbenzoic acid is active, which can prevent oxidation and electrochemical corrosion of metals, and effectively protect cast iron, steel and copper and other metal materials from corrosion in the antifreeze environment.
