Properties
Aniline is colourless or light yellow transparent liquid. Pure aniline is a colourless transparent liquid with special smell.1g of this product can be dissolved in 28. 6mL of water, 15. 7mL of boiling water, can be miscible with ethanol, ether, benzene and other organic solvents, and can be volatilised with water vapour. The solubility of it in water increases with the increase of temperature, when the temperature is higher than 167^5°C, aniline and water can be mutually soluble in any proportion. It is easily oxidised under oxygen in air, light irradiation or high temperature.

Uses
Standard samples for the determination of refractive index. Detection of halogens, chromates, vanadates, nitrites and carboxylic acids. Used in the pharmaceutical industry, organic synthesis.
Safety
Easily absorbed through intact skin. The rate of percutaneous absorption of liquid aniline is about 1000 times faster than that of its vapour. It can be poisoned by respiratory tract, skin, eye contact or accidental ingestion.
