What is Ethylene Glycol Diacetate (EGDA)?
Ethylene Glycol Diacetate is a colorless, transparent liquid with a slight fruity aroma. It is slightly soluble in water and miscible with most organic solvents such as ethanol, ether, acetone and benzene. It is an excellent solvent, widely used in coatings and inks.
Uses:
1. Ethylene Glycol Diacetate is an excellent solvent with good solubility and volatility. In the paint industry, it can be used in the production of many kinds of paints, such as nitro paint, polyurethane paint, acrylic paint and so on.
2. In the ink industry, helps to dissolve the resin and pigment in the ink, regulates the viscosity and drying speed of the ink, and is widely used in gravure printing, flexographic printing and other printing processes.
3. EGDA can be used as solvent and perfume fixing agent for spices, used for mixing various perfumes, flavors and other spice products.
4. It is machine synthesized intermediates, used in the synthesis of other organic compounds, such as pharmaceuticals, pesticides, plastic additives and so on.
5. 1,2-Ethanediol, diacetate can be used as a detergent to remove oil and impurities in the fields of metal surface cleaning and electronic component cleaning.
