CAS 67-48-1 Choline Chloride Powder is an organic substance, chemical formula C5H14ClNO, white hygroscopic crystals, tasteless, with a fishy odor, melting point 305ºC. 10% aqueous solution pH5-6, unstable in lye. Melting point 305ºC. 10% aqueous solution pH5-6, unstable in alkaline solution. Soluble in water and ethanol, insoluble in ether, petroleum ether, benzene and carbon disulfide. It is used in the treatment of fatty liver and cirrhosis. It can also be used as livestock feed additives, which can stimulate the ovaries to produce more eggs, and promote litter production and weight gain in livestock and fish.
