Polyisobutylene (PIB) is a colorless, odorless, non-toxic thick or semi-solid substance with excellent resistance to heat, oxygen, ozone, weathering, ultraviolet, acids and alkalis and other chemicals. It is soluble in benzene and diisobutylene, miscible with polyvinyl acetate, wax, etc., insoluble in water, alcohol and other polar solvents.
